Every IDrive customer can now get full access to the files stored in their IDrive account from any iOS 3.2+ device. Download the app for free here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/idrive-online-backup/id427956708?mt=8. You used to be able to click on a link to bring up the direct download, but Adobe has recently removed that from their website. Considering Adobe hasn't really made a name for itself in the security department, I really don't want their snap in installed for no good reason. So here's a direct download link to the latest version of the Adobe Reader X from Adobe. Last Updated (Friday, 20 May 2011 22:47) |
Typically when your computer gets infected with malware these days you either can't use it anymore because it's broke, it's incredibly slow, or there is an annoying pop-up that just won't go away. The potential for the malware to steal your passwords or credentials has always existed, but now it seems to be much more prominent. Here's a few tips to help keep you safe: 1) Be sure your computer is properly maintained. Having the latest security updates not just for Windows or OSX, but other common components that everybody uses: Java, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, etc. 2) If your computer shows signs of malware, STOP USING IT. Any passwords they get from you can be leveraged to gain other access, not just ebanking but email as well. 3) If your banking website starts behaving differently, check it from another clean computer to see if it looks different for everyone or just you. A sudden change in appearance or behavior could indicate your browser has been hijacked. You can review the FBI Fraud Alert by clicking the link. GPU Hardware acceleration, HTML5 support, new interface, I'm still not giving up Firefox yet but it's tempting! I just dragged the Facebook URL to the task bar and it intergrates nicely. Right clicking on Facebook gives me options to jump right to News, Events, Friends, and Messages. Click here to give it a spin yourself Last Updated (Friday, 20 May 2011 22:47) |
